Who is Ken O. Burtch?
Ken O. Burtch
is best known as the author of Linux Shell Scripting with Bash and as an
application/technical architect for the world's most popular children's website,
Webkinz. Ken has been developing software since the early 1990's. He
founded PegaSoft Canada and developed software for the Apple
IIgs computer, including the DrawTools animation kit and the award-winning game
Quest for the Hoard. He began using Linux before it was cool and has written
articles for the Linux Gazette and other magazines. He has reviewed
papers for the IEEE.
He enjoys working for relaxed companies, designing new inventive solutions to
challenging problems.
What does he think?
Ken is loyal, hard-working and outspoken: he believes in
leadership through teamwork, open dialog and management-by-walking-around. He

animation, recreational walking, playing piano, managing open source projects and

Interested in the poor and orphaned, he sponsors third-world children through Worldvision and has worked as a committee chairman.
